Tassie fmx 2010 wrap up

 

 

Practice

 

Went well apart from local mini bike hero Noel kain busted his swing arm in 2 off a 40ft plus gap, Followed by State motocross champ Ben Isles over jump by 20ft & shortly after that armature fmx rider George Foot got hooked up on a no foot can coming down hard!

 

State trails king chris bails thrilled the crowed with his unbelievable skills on his trials bike!!! With the bmx crew killing it be side him a few of the local boyzs busted flip for the first time well done boyz.

 

Fmx pro final

 

Event organizer and competitor Jay woolley was out 1^st with one handed take offs to combo tricks, mad side ways harts &  3 trick combos. Second up was Victorian young gun Matty lewis throwing huge nac flips & grab combos a dead sailor in his run evened things up for local rider Josh woolley as the rain fell he ripped it up combos and massive extension on all his tricks!!

 

Judging was close! Only 5 points separated the top 3 over 2 runs

Third place Jay Woolley –Tas

 

The mini bike & fmx am’s where canceled due to a huge down pore of rain!! Thanks tassie weather…

FMX NATIONALS 2006

Aye all,

Jay here wordn ya all up on the sik trip we have had over the past few weeks! sorry that

I don't have all the pictures at the moment but I will post em as soon as I can!

Our Nats out look was sweet, had a over jump in prac I was a little off colour from all the

traveling but sorted it out by sat. the set up was ok but riders we getting busted up, I think

7 ankles 2 broken backs just to name a few so lucky to walk out of this event ALIVE lol

Josh took out am's + am Air masters, I Fished up 5th in Pro A over Jayden. not

yet sure on my big air results.Filming for the xgear dvd is going sweet going to be a mad

arse vid for sure

Thanks to race line for the event and all the people who helped us to get there, such as

Matt jones(XGEAR), Butch, Judy, holly & Rianna for a place to crash + making joshs

bed/washing his jocks, Baileys Honda, TGS, FIAA, Dirty dog eyewear, Alloy Mx

With three stops across three states and 16 of Australian’s top pro freestylers, everyone in the crowd is guaranteed to leave with a smile having experienced the epic competition battles between the elite of FMX. With the best FMX riders in action, it’s anyone’s guess who’ll steal the top step of the podium. As an added bonus, this action packed, adrenalin charged feature will include none other than the ultimate of freestyle motocross tricks – The BACK FLIP! 

Motorcycling Australia have been instrumental in making the back flip in sanctioned demonstrations a possibility. “Motorcycling Australia understands that the sport is growing rapidly and they’ve recognized that to nurture its growth we need to support and guide it. They’ve been open-minded towards the freestyle motocross movement and together with Full Throttle Sports, I believe the sport will continue to grow.” - Mick Sinclair, Full Throttle Sports Event Manager.

You want EXTREME? Then, this will be the Full Throttle ride of your life! These Dare Devils are an all-new species. They are the new evolution- THE PURE EXTREMISTS.

What will transpire after the spectators take their seats is an explosive, testosterone charged showdown between the nation’s best freestyle riders.

An insane display of aerial antics will ignite through the smoke filled arena (Compound X), with the riders on edge as they demonstrate their skills though a diverse range of freestyle two wheeled acrobatics. While the riders are pushing the limits, the girls will rock hard and fast to the energized sounds, pumping throughout the compound. The riders will attack the track from all angles on what can only be described as a “HELLTRACK” consisting of two 60ft gaps and a 50ft super kicker. For those dedicated to the mini monsters, a phenomenal supercross orientated Fast 50 track will see Cameron Sinclair, Kain Saul, Blake Williams, Brent Brady, Josh Milz and Brody Jennings in action.

Meanwhile, the FMX component will be unleashed by none other than the infamous participants of the Australian tour of Crusty Demons of Dirt- Matt Schubring, Cameron Sinclair, Robbie Madison and Blake Williams. All four will take part in not only the theatrical segment, but will also battle it out in competition. Each have recently pulled off back flips and back flip variations and will join former Summer X Games Gold Medallist and fellow Crusty’s performer Luke Urek to unleash their attack on Australian soil in FMX Unleashed. Also joining the series will be a list that includes the who’s who of FMX- Matt McFerran, Luke & Matt Cole, Michael Norris, Jake Bowen, Noel Cotter, Mick & Dan Hall, Shaun Richardson, Steve Mini, Jeremy Ray and Robbie Alderberg. Jay Woolley will also join the line up of FMX riders as a wildcard rider.

FMX Unleashed, starts with a rehearsed, choreographed, slick action packed show, and for the first time ever, leads into one and a half hours of non stop competition with the all new stand alone Freestyle Motocross Pro Series (FMXPS).

The competition will encompass two categories, the “Combination Freestyle Competition” and the “Big Air”. The Combination category will have each of the 16 riders compete in a 60 second heat. The top six point scorers will go through to the final, whilst the remainders will transfer to the Semi. The Semi Finalists will all receive a 60 second run with the top 6 transferring into the 12 man final. Each finalist will have a 90 second run + 1 jump after the buzzer.

The Big Air Comp will see riders perform their best three tricks. The overall winner will be determined through a process of elimination.

Fmx Unleashed

The event was sick well done to Full Throttle Sports

here's the low down  -what happened was, I was in prac,  just build'n up my tricks and
i went to do my first shoulin, and on the way back over the bars, my heel hooked my throttle cable and
pulled my bike wide open , I hit the landing and shot off full throttle into wall.

the crash was huge & it really hurt,
I was banged up head to toe ! But most of the pain was in my ankles & left wrist.
I was so weak and sore from the crash I really didn't think that I would be able to ride anymore,
I couldn't even walk !

 

I'm still really sore today ! no broken bones but ... lucky ...
but yeah on the Saturday morning of the event I was feel'n like sh%t and really burnt out.
I felt so bad on the bike !!! there was like 5min's left in prac time and I had a few
words with the boys and thort what the hell ! I should at least go out and give it a go
and suck up the pain... So I said to Mick that I was going out and just to give me 2 minutes,  he did and I went out and hit the ramp, plus I even pulled off a few tricks they were nothing flash but I felt a lot better! Riders were pull'n out left right and center ... 9 out of 16 ...like I didn't enter comp like to place or beat anybody after my crash I was lucky just to ride ! so I just rode for all my friends, family, sponsors and
everbody who helped me to get there.

I just went out a pulled off what ever came into mind and hopefully the crowd enjoyed the show coz
really thats what were all there for.
